"Hi Mark,...I really enjoy using your activities.  I downloaded a few I already had because I shared them with a coworker, so I purchased them for her.  The lessons I have tried are the Systems of Equations which was great...I also used the Rock, Paper, Scissors...I just collected Amateur Architect...Your Mathegories has worked great...Thanks so much.  You have added a lot to my classroom this year.

The games that I chose to share and provide handouts were "Capture The Quads", "Fraction Golf", and "FDP Bingo".  I also told the audience about the other games and ideas that were on your website.  The games were received with much enthusiasm and we played them during my sessions....  I know I will continue to visit (DigitalLesson.com).  Thanks so much for allowing me to share your wonderful ideas to make math more fun and exciting.

Mathegories PowerPoint Games

I'm using (Mathegories) with my Extended Learning classes, and these low-performing students are very motivated to help each other as we play.  I have used a few with my regular classes, and those students beg to play 'Mathegories' more frequently!  They are perfect for the shorter days we have for staff meetings.  The format is easy to read, the questions cover a range of concept levels, and the competition can get pretty fierce!  I love hearing them talk about it as they leave the room!

Humongous Hero

"My students enjoyed working on the "Humongous Hero" Project.  It provided a much-needed break from the daily math routine.  After reviewing proportions and the proportion equality, the students were able to apply that knowledge to this giant "hero" and create his "scaled down" image together.  It was a great cooperative learning activity.  Thank you, Mark, for the detailed directions and great worksheets."

Amateur Architect

"The architecture lesson was cool.  It was fun and interesting and I used math in a new way.  I am going to take an architecture class next year in high school because I liked the lesson so much."

-Peter S. (8th grader;  Lake Forest, CA)

"My son was really inspired by the architecture lesson.  He jumped right on the assignment (which is not like him) and he worked hard to get all the details correct.  He liked it so much, he is going to explore architecture as a possible future career."

-Teri S. (parent of 8th grader;  Lake Forest, CA)
